Hello, my name is Stan McDaniel, and I am the President of Roamer Transport, Inc. I have been in the trucking industry for 30 years. Ever since I was a young man, I have always enjoyed “hands on” projects, from building my very first car, to building homes, and eventually, building Roamer Transport, Inc. in 2013. After working with multiple companies, I formed my own vision of how a trucking company should operate, care for its customers, and care for its employees. When starting Roamer Transport my company goal is to create a loyal, efficient, reliable business that stands out from the rest.
This line of work has always been a true passion of mine. It allows the continued hands-on work that I love and with the help of my coworkers. When establishing Roamer, I wanted to bring that passion throughout America, one truck at a time. With now 28 trucks and 38 trailers on hand and ever-increasing, Roamer Transport, Inc., continues to show relentless growth and determination to always be the #1 choice.
Roamer runs primarily in the Northwest, as well as the Mideast, South, and Southeast USA. Roamer prides itself with detailed and attentive dispatch to keep things rolling. We provide the truck and trailer for the The Bridge Church on 12th street donations.
We donate to the development workshop as well as YAC(Young Adult Court).
Additional Information
Routes
Our drivers are given the address to the locations that they are either picking up from or delivering to. They enter the route in their GPS and the route that is given is usually the route they take. If our drivers prefer another route, they need to call dispatch to get that route approved. We are open minded and always willing to work with our drivers and hear them out. Our drivers can request specific lanes that are available. We will dispatch them but they are not assigned a dedicated lane.
There are times that we route the drivers away from road construction if we know that there is going to be construction in that area. If our drivers have any questions about their route they can call into dispatch and certainly get help. Our dispatch is very thorough and very accommodating in helping you locate the correct facility.
In winter conditions we help route our drivers with the best and safest route possible, due to the conditions. If our drivers find roads that are closed on their route, they need to call dispatch to determine if he or she should wait or be given another route.
Fueling
We fuel up at BLU when in Idaho Falls. Out on the road, we fuel up at Love’s. They are a great partner to us out on the road. Love’s provides the best reward point system for the drivers including: free coffee, showers, and reward points towards meals and accessories.
Additional Compensation
- If a driver gets shut down due to closed roads, we offer layover pay.
- If a driver has to sit for 24 due to pick up time on a load and have available hours we do layover pay.
- If a driver has to chain-up we pay for each tire you chain-up.
- We also pay detention to the drivers at the shippers and receivers when available.
